Even though I was a broke kid without any money, I decided to buy it myself. So, during my summer break, I hustled with part-time jobs such as mowing lawns, selling lemonade, and washing cars which got me a few hundred bucks.

Finally, the big day came. I still remember on August 15, 2016, when I bought my first electric scooter, an INOKIM Quick 2. I was very happy and felt like I achieved something in life.  

I was confident about riding my escooter as earlier I rode a bunch of Kick Scooters in my school days. But as I took my first ride, I clearly understood this is not like riding a kick scooter. The pace and the handling are completely different. It took me months to even control the acceleration of the scooter.

It took me 3 months to even ride my electric scooter to my college safely, and during those months I got a bunch of scratches on my leg and shoulder because of falling off so many times. 

The manuals and online information are too basic or weren’t much help either. During my learning stage, the lack of guidance and knowledge kept me frustrated, even at a point when I was convinced to sell my escooter. 

But then I remembered a quote “Everything in life has a cost, whether it’s time, money, or effort. So I decided to give it a second chance and keep on going. At the end of the winter, I can say I was fully skilled in riding my scooter and even did some tricks like drifting and a few jumps with it. 

Why I Started Escooter Info?

As I was enjoying my New Year, I thought about how many people are facing the same problem of learning to ride an electric scooter, some learned the hard way, and most of them quit just because of not having any guidance or proper knowledge. 

As everyone takes their New Year resolutions, I take mine to help all the people who want to learn to ride an escooter without injuries and frustration. 

So in February 2018, I started Escooter Info, a blog where all the information is packed with my insights and what I learned from my experience. I also shared some of my tips, which helped me to overcome my frustration and keep me going.
